Hi, I’m Beth, and this is my blog. This blog started many years ago when I was fortunate enough to be on the cover of Quilting Arts magazine with Dogwoods, one of three quilts made based on the Dogwood trees in my front yard, and watercolors I had painted of the flowers. When the Dogwoods bloom you know that summer is on the way! Now I keep up every couple of weeks with what’s up, what’s on my design wall, and what new challenges I’m taking on. I have the tremendous privilege of my work being exhibited around the world, as well as appearing in numerous books and publications. While there is time set aside every day for my studio practice, I also teach and run workshops on a variety of subjects - the most popular is “No Rules, No Rulers” which introduces traditional quilters to Improv work. It is a joy to see so many creative artists explore textiles for the first time, as well as see worlds open up for artists who have only ever used patterns to create. Join me on this colorful journey!
