New season, new challenges…

If you live in an area where there are 4 distinct seasons, you will not be surprised that when spring finally arrives, it is glorious! Walking outside without a winter coat or heavy winter boots is like sudden freedom. I feel the same way when I start a new commission piece and the client says, “I love your abstract work, so just make something beautiful.” So, while these private commission pieces generally do not get any fanfare here, they end up being some of my favorite pieces. I have insured the client likes where the piece is heading before I start sewing it together, but free-reign is freedom.

I started typing this last night and look what arrived this morning… one last hurrah for snow, fingers crossed!
