The next 2-Color experiment…that became a 3-Color experiment…

This is the next 2-color experimental piece but using numerous shades of the lighter color. In real life this color began as a teal and the accents maroon, but I thought it was a very flat effect, so began using shades of teal. Using shades of teal turned into both blues and greens. There are at least 3-4 shades of the blues and green throughout the piece. The lightest of light shades is actually an extremely light blue color, but reads almost white in the camera.

While this is still a Word-In-Progress, WIP, it is on a smaller scale than the 1st piece I worked on, with the smaller blocks closer to 4” x 4” and the larger blocks up to 12” square.

No idea what the finished piece will look like, but it has quite different movement than the 1st piece I created, and I like that about it…so far.
