Small Group Challenges…

I am part of a small local art quilt group, and we have made numerous quilts over the years, from themes, to realistic local buildings, to single color challenges. If you attend any of the AQS shows this year, we have a group of “Name that Tune” quilts on exhibit at all 2025 shows. There are 40 of these quilts, and they are quite wonderful.

Our current challenge has a few simple parameters: Black & White with a hint of one color, abstract, any technique from piecing to appliqué, 20”x20” and a few other things. Since I love architecture, this was an easy one for me. The Sydney Opera House & Pyramids of Giza. Not sure what’s up with the lighting yet, but they are both white, bright white, in fact. Aside from our art group, I might have to make a few more of these.
